Yup, this. It's a good exercise, and figuring out what's important to mention and what's not is a skill. But I find some crit groups take this to an extreme -- NO adverbs, ever. No use of was/were because that's "passive voice" (... no, it's not, but you can make a more compelling sentence, sometimes, by avoiding it; however, "never use it" is too much).

TLDR: Absolutes in writing are bad. Yeah, I know I just used an absolute there, but I'm being a smartass. :P
