...why WOULDN'T people hate the way children of well-connected and highly-placed officials can escape consequences for their actions? It took a specific example in a TV show to get you to realize this sucks?

Oh, I knew a long time before. He's just particularly dipshittily dipshitty and he's that kind of jackass who needs to face the consequences of his actions and he doesn't really get that slammed into his face until long after he should've.

I've disliked Duncan since day one of his appearance. It blew my mind to find out who his father is and that being the real reason (or at least, I strongly feel) he wasn't fired when he should definitely have been. Ugh.

(I'm glad the other characters used him the way they did in recent episodes. Though I am a tad sympathetic about what happened, but only a tad.)
