Two sisters and a...boyfriend-in-law had their birthdays this week. So tomorrow we are having a birthday lunch with all of them (thanks to my Aunt). And Sunday we are having BIRTHDAY CAKE (and gifts). Nomnomnom. It is an ice cream cake too, so extra noms.

I'll also be busy making like 2 dozen breakfast burritos for my sister and I to freeze and eat. That'll be time consuming but oh, so delicious.

What are your plans?

I'm planning on making cinnamon ice cream with a sour cream apple cake. All of my weekends are about cooking. And the gym.

D: How do you make your ice cream? With a machine or by hand?

I have to work this weekend. I also have to upload my two fics but at least then they'll be done.

Finishing a project can feel pretty damn amazing! Sucks about working though. :(

Having several heart attacks about law school starting on Monday!! And also working on my assignments. Knocked out the first of three draft case briefs today and read a quarter of the book we talk about at orientation, and hope to get really close to finishing everything tomorrow. I'm basically working in order to avoid thinking about how scary all this is.

Holy shit. My law school is starting August 28th...are you seriously already doing shit? Should I be doing shit??? FUCK

I'm of two minds.

Option one: go to Table Rock and hike a grueling trail. Pro: exercise, bragging rights, feeling badass. Con: two hour drive, gas costs money, have nobody to go with.

Option two: go to humane society. Pet kitties. Walk puppies. Pro: a little bit of exercise when walking le pooch, warm fuzzy feelings, getting to talk to other people. Con: not the workout I really want. I could go to a nearby national park afterwards, but that doesn't have any steep inclination to make me feel the burn.

I'm leaning towards option two.

As an animal lover, I vote for number 2 as well! Cute animals!

I just got a new cell phone today (as in literally just got home from buying it), so I'm gonna spend the weekend learning to make it work since I haven't had a phone since before smart phones were common.

I'm going to go yard-saling with my mom in the morning, after we hang up some missing posters around the neighborhood for our lost cat, Muta.
