This is going to sound weird, but... 1776.

I know that it's stupid to be on the edge of your seat for it, since it's based on Real Events that Actually Happened (TM), but every time I watch it, I'm always worried that they won't actually get the Declaration signed. |D

It's a good play! And their Benjamin Franklin is the best, but the tension!

Speed.

A lot of '90's big budget action films, actually. They tended to be a winning combination of good directing, good music and good practical effects that ratcheted up the tension high.

The West Wing. Though I don't think it's 'edge of my seat' so much as 'get swept up in'. I can't watch just 30 seconds of it if I know more is coming, even if I try to turn if off. I think it's something about the dialogue and camera movement.

Sword and sorcery/fantastical worlds - I love all the tropes and even the terrible movies/books are still fun

Xena. The Scorpion King. The Little Mermaid. Gone With the Wind (movie and book). Lonesome Dove (miniseries and book).

The Lord of the Rings films, I've seen them so many times but I don't care. I'm still riveted by them.

Put Alien in the DVD player and I'm gonna be bouncing in my fucking seat. Blade Runner too.

Can we include more recent stuff? ... I'm doing it anyway.

Lord of the Rings, Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, Mulan, BioShock (enjoy all of them, but the original is the stand-out), Halo, Portal, Dragon Age (again, I like them all, but Origins is my favorite), Star Wars: KOTOR (love that game, ugh), Mass Effect (mostly 2...sometimes I want to forget 3 happened), SGA...

Kingsman, Tiger and Bunny, The Last of Us and Justified will probably become this too.
