Re: Stupidest special snowflake tumblr profile description you've ever seen
My experiences with Tolkien fandom have been overwhelmingly positive, but I haven't been in the fandom recently so I'm sure things have changed. I always liked how passionate and knowledgeable Tolkien fandom could be though. I don't think I've been in a fandom like it since.
Yes, people do get intense about it, but mostly in the "I want to know every detail" sort of way
