New anon here. For what it's worth, I agree with you. He comes across to me as a very "take charge person in both the movies and the comics, and he's one of the ones for whom I think that would carry over into the bedroom. He really likes being in charge, and I think he likes being in charge in situations that are a lot more under his control than missions that can fall apart at any moment. Plus, I think he'd be very good at being a dom.

I'm mulling over writing a bottom yet dominant Steve story, because I really like the idea, and more of this needs to exist. I'm also quite annoyed with the way fandom so often conflates bottoming with being submissive, and assumes that subs only ever bottom and doms only ever top.

It's well known that lot of socially dominant people are submissive in the bedroom though.

na

you say that like that's true of ALL socially dominant people. some are and some aren't. how people behave in public doesn't always present an indication of how they'd behave in the bedroom

"a lot of" =/= ALL

unless I'm missing something

The point I was making is that you can't tell, and it doesn't necessarily carry over.

SA * but it is an accepted fact in the bdsm community that those who like power irl often relish relinquishing it in the bedroom. Often, sometimes, not all, yanno?

So basically, you're butthurt that someone else sees a character in a different way than you do.
