I don't think all "art" movies are shitty at all. Though I do find a lot of stereotypically "artistic" filming techniques to generally be a turn-off. But since "art movie" doesn't really have a clear meaning to me as a genre, I could hardly judge every movie that qualifies. But if I watch a movie that I can tell is trying to be artistic in a way I personally find obnoxious, then yeah, I'm probably going to think it's shitty.
