Personally I really went off her after it became obvious the fact she and Tom Hiddleston had a thing irl was being used as the basis for pairing Darcy with Loki. Because that pairing is almost always, in 98% of cases, using Darcy as an author avatar. Also I feel like Loki would hate Darcy to the point of murder so...there's that.

Then Thor 2 happened and I thought "why the FUCK am I watching the Adventures of Darcy and Intern when there's EIGHT WHOLE OTHER REALMS to explore and there's other MCU films that can pay attention to Earth?" I thought we should've got Earth out of our system in the first film!

The thing is, I have the impression the "thing" with Hiddleston was made up by fans after she held his hand at a premiere (someone posted a series of photos showing her holding various people's hands--she's a hand-holder) and he hugged her (come on. Hiddleston can't possibly date EVERYONE he hugs.) I think it's extremely likely that "relationship" was fan wishful thinking.

In other words, not only Darcy but also Kat Dennings seem to be used as fan stand-ins. Which is a little weird.
