i am nowhere near creative enough to play mage effectively and also the only guy i know who actually plays it was a COMPLETE douche and thought that you could totally create ice-9 and drop it into the Pacific without incurring paradox as long as you did it while nobody was looking.

sort of the eternal curse of tabletop RPGs - they rely on having good people to play them with.

No, no, you create enough buzz around a vaguely plausible pseudoscientific theory that it goes viral, then you drop it into the Pacific.

You need to do the groundwork first if you don't want the paradox.
