abvene supposedly comes from ab(sent)+ven(us). personally idg this trend of making up new identities like demigirl and abvene that mean "not a girl" and then acting like those identities... make you a girl.

Oh right, thankyou.

I'm a bit older and umm, I'm not going to tell anyone individually that their identity is shit, but sometimes honestly it feels more like a discomfort with sexism and gender role expectations, and jumping on the gender identity bandwagon as a response (rather than redefining cis "woman").

I have thought this so much with the current trend of "I'm not a girl I'm transnullnugender don't call me a giiiirl!"

I believe there's definitely real transgenderism out there, but so much of this seems to be a response to internalized misogyny.

Sounds like someone has internalized sexism and is trying very hard to distance herself from her own gender because of it.
