Several DAYS?

Sounds like your parents should have gotten you professional help back then.

it's just mild OCD. there's nothing to be done about it, and it's not harmful.

Well, that's...kind of distressing.

Sorry, OP, but seriously, this secret made me LOL.

I'm not sure why people are so freaked out about this. The same thing happens to me when I read comic books - I can't picture people except in that style of drawing.

Days?! That sounds distressing, yes. I can see why you hate wingfic so much. (I'm not fond of it myself, though I have no particular reason for feeling that way; it's just never appealed to me.)

I can understand how this would be freaky to a child. Wow.

I hate wingfic as well. It's a purely emotional reaction.

Perhaps it's because I saw a lot of vermin-ridden pigeons as a kid and the idea of a person with those same damaged, infested wings growing out of their back turns my stomach.

It's hard enough to clean your own back in the bath. Imagine how much worse it would be if you had wings with hundreds of individual feathers to groom.

As someone who also has had these compulsive images (not the same, but similarly annoying and disturbing), if you're a woman and plan on having children: prepare for some weird shit, because people like us have a tendency to develop postpartum OCD. I had it, and it sucked. I had violent and sexual intruding images and dreams. Went away after about 6 weeks, though.
