F4 is Fox. >.> The first one was good, the second one was a bit scattered.

But I do prefer them to the Raimi ones. Don't know why...Maybe Spiderman 3 colored my view of the previous two.

Amazing Spider-Man was pretty good,I thought, but its sequel was largely awful save for a few moments. I am however disappointed that Andrew Garfield won't get to try again.

Spiderman 2 is the only Spiderman movie I've ever actually enjoyed. I've seen them all because I will watch any superhero movie once. But Spiderman is not one of my favorite characters (I'm really not excited about him coming to the MCU), and I've never really enjoyed his movie outings. I really liked the Doc Oc character in Spiderman 2, which is why I've rewatched that one a few times.

I hated the Amazing Spiderman. I didn't enjoy any of the characters. Yes, this Peter and this Gwen probably have more chemistry. But this Peter was also a hundred times more annoying than Tobey's Spiderman.

Sony didn't make the disaster that was Fantastic Four. Fox did.

When I found out this movie got hate, I was surprised. I didn't care much for Emma Stone myself, and maybe the origin story wasn't quite as well done as in the Toby one (but can't be helped, it was hard to do the same origin again). But overall I thought it was a lot more entertaining and Andrew was a much better Spiderman. He had Spiderman's charm and wittiness, that Toby never had.

I loved both Garfield and Stone in their roles. I was surprised to later find out so man people disliked them.

I hate it because it brought back SAINT GWEN nostalgia/mentality and basically made her a blonde MJ and missed the point of Gwen's character and the cast and crew continuous shitting on Mary Jane.

And Peter was horribly mischracterized. Don't get me wrong, Tobey!Peter wasn't great either, but neither was Garfield!Peter.

Yes to all of this. MJ is one of the few Spiderman characters I really like. Emma was good in the roll, but I really wish they'd gone with MJ. She's just a better character and a better match for Peter.

I could have made this secret. I loved Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone and I couldn't stand Tobey Maguire.

I liked the first one, I enjoyed how they did Lizard(even if he did look like a Goomba from the Mario Bros movie no one likes to talk about) and I liked that the ASM Spidey was more quippy than the Sam Rami one. I didn't like the second one as much though because it felt like they were tying to stuff too much into one movie for sequels but I didn't hate it either.

I enjoy the Sam Rami movies as well though, cheesy as they are.

I enjoy both, but if I had to choose just one, I'd choose Garfield's version. I liked the quips. (You've found my weakness! Small knives! *cowers sarcastically*)

Haha yeah I loved that. That's the only Spider-Man movie I own. I haven't decided yet whether I want to buy the second one though. I hate sad endings.

I want so badly to watch this reboot and enjoy it.

I just think it's too soon though. And I say this knowing what a disaster the third Tobey Maguire film was.

i'm indifferent to spiderman in general, but stone and garfield were unexpectedly adorable, yes! so cute.

Well...

Sadly, I still haven't seen these. But I did really like this SNL bit with Stone and Garfield: https://youtu.be/Q8veKhgrpkw

I liked the TASM movies more than I liked the Raimi ones despite their flaws, especially those in the second one.
