I think the kinkmeme is what ultimately turned me off of SPN fic altogether.

For me, personally, the fans of Dean/Sam and Dean/Castiel turned me off.

Also, the fic is teenager-level quality. I've read only a handful of great SPN fics.

It was the combination of that and the fact that I had already stopped watching the show. There are certain pairings that I still would really like to read some fics for, but I'm kind of too scared to bother now.
