Aussie accents aren't my favorite, but I don't dislike them either.

I hate American accents, though. Haaaate. All of them. Which is really unfortunate because I'm American and even hate my own accent!

You recognise and can hear your own accent? Most US folks can't in my experience but it's easy to hear almost nothing but US accents in the US. Whereas any other English speaker from other countries will hear at least US accents on a regular basis.

Well, it's easy if you live in the middle of nowhere, never watch TV and only make friends with people who have American accents. Otherwise no.
