I wouldn't count "Supreme Court" type characters in this. It's easy enough for shows to tick minority boxes in those roles.

And it's not easy to tick a minority box for fictional presidents? And I think 24 had a black president too.

The best black president, but I think we were looking for presidents who were neither white nor black.

Apparently it isn't, because it is so absurdly rare to see a fictional president in Western media (of America/etc, or a fictional society like America/etc) who isn't white or black.

I mean, I agree. But I also think it'd be easy to have female roles represent 50% of leads, and non-white (non-black as well) leads also consistently represented. But Hollywood doesn't think it's easy, apparently, and has a default to uphold.
