There is a game I really want to torrent, but no one has a copy of the mac version on any torrent yet. And I can't afford the game until I get a job. I want to play so bad, though. I would totally torrent it if I could find it.

I also do the torrenting things I already own thing to have digital copies. That feels okay to me because I've already paid for it.

We're talking about being fans of a thing, not survival.

Well, the Anya woman or whatever was a scam artist, after all. She wasn't the real Anastasia, so that pretty much inherently makes her a bad person.

But to be fair, I don't think the movie set out to pretend to fictionalize that woman's life, more just the hype that Anastasia might still be alive. They probably should've picked a different name, but Anya just sounds like Anastasia, it's much easier to execute in a kids' movie, I suppose.

Well, way before Tumblr, when the Invader Zim fandom was a thing, I was secretly a ZADR shipper but had to keep it a secret because my friends who I knew even before we all got into the fandom were ship shamers who wanted the shippers to feel guilty for the same reason. So as much as I actually am one of those people you talked about who hates Tumblr because it replaced LJ and other sites that I miss, shippers being tangled up with anti-shippers is nothing new, it just happened for different reasons. And in a way it was even more awkward because these weren't just random strangers who I couldn't avoid because of a site's format, they were my friends outside the fandom as well.

Yeah, I do it because Ultraviolet/digital copies of stuff sucks. They are either terrible quality or can only be used in certain video players. :

I keep hearing that threesomes incite unusual jealousy in vulnerable individuals. Also, being the vanilla CIS heteronormative type, I personally just don't want to bother. I'm reasonably happy with what I have, thankyouverymuch.

They really do. They give you this digital copy but then it is barely usable. Frustrating.

Yeah, I heard fuckboy as like... bottom boy. butt boy. etc. I never heard of the prison origin exactly, but the word itself implies, well. You know.

Whether or not the prison rape origin is true, at very least, they are appropriating a piece of LGBT culture and misapplying it to their own problems and should feel ashamed.

(I am kidding, I don't care, I was just confused because lately I hear it on the Internet by women who are using it in the context that does not seem right)

I had warezed copies of all three Thief games before I ever managed to track down the first two games -- which was pretty hard to do in 2006, before we had things like gog.com. Does that make me not a tr00 fan? Oh, no, I got into the series because Thief 3 looked interesting, THAT destroys my tr00 fan cred according to TTLG :/ (That and I like Thief 3)

I think all of the definitions of the term stem from the idea of "a man whose only worth is as a sex object"

A fuckboy in gay culture might be the guy who's being kept by a sugar daddy for example. Not necessarily an insult but can easily be used that way

Go for it! Just be prepared for general '70s TV show conventions. It might be surprising to a modern viewer, but S&H was actually way above average compared to most TV dramas back then (even though TV comedies were great in the '70s). Especially when it came to the acting and characterization. The actors were way over-qualified and really elevated the show.

Same. My reaction was also: "But we're nice!"

I love Starsky and Hutch's relationship in canon, but still ship them like crazy. To me they love each other so much and in such a way that I don't even think their relationship dynamic would change that much if they were romantically or sexually involved.

Sometimes this happens when I just can't separate two characters from my shipping preferences. To me those two are in love with each other.

But if you aren't into that interpretation, that's okay?

It's interesting the way he tries to describe the complicated relationship between the two actors.

"David and I have become much more comfortable with understanding and acknowledging our feelings. At the time I think it was probably more difficult. But when we got on camera, it was all there. It was really interesting."

He doesn't seem totally into the interview, but still seems thoughtful and fairly articulate about how they care about each other, but it sometimes felt awkward when they were younger.
