I think his art is a bit samey, too. How many women does he draw that just look like the one with the short dark hair anyways?

Surprisingly enough, not that many. Most of his characters are pretty different-- example, Vonnie. Vonnie is tall, slender, and has a larger bust in addition to the obvious colour differences. Asmodea is a little taller, much darker skin, longer nose, much more... 'kept' hair, I guess? She styles it where Kim might run a brush through hers. Maybe. Madame Casper is VERY different (and looks much more robot-y). Ester Mammon shows up on maybe one page and also looks different from all the other characters, so does blast-from-the-past Alina Tokamak.

He does tend towards oval or gaunt faces, but meh.

Agreed. Maybe not so much in the designs, but in the expressions that people have - always that mouth slightly open with the teeth showing and frowning a bit. Open their mouths once in a while!

Aaron has been mocked for trying to be a sort of SJ feminist while portraying his lead as a sort of ideal fantasy woman.

I get where people are coming from, but at some point I had to step back and see that the mockery of him was unfair, and that I was especially a jerk to sign onto it out of some misplaced feminist impulse.

I've never been able to read more than a few pages of this comic, his art might be good but his visual storytelling abilities drive me up the wall. Maybe he's improved but when I tried before the panel layouts on this comic were always a mess - way too crammed together, the flow is all over the place, and weirdly paced. /rant
