IIRC, Roiland said repeatedly on reddit that what happened with Morty and the king jellybean "wasn't rape" because the jellybean just wanted Morty to lick him, rather than have sex with him.

I have been struggling to figure out if he is just screwing with people, or if he legit believes that the scenario was not attempted rape since it wasn't sexual intercourse involving penetration. I could see the former easily, but the idea that it's the latter really makes my brain throw a gear.

Here's what I found on that topic:

A common misconception is that King Jellybean wanted aliens to lick him. This comes from a joke on Reddit that the writers wrote to entertain. They did however clear up and blatantly state that the King did in fact try to rape Morty and has committed rape in the past.
