Where you realize if you found your SO in the Ashley Madison data dump, you wouldn't be mad at them for looking...you'd be mad at them for using a scammy pay site to do it.

On the one hand, I just kind of boggle because wtf, these people paid to be blackmail bait of the highest order. On the other, part of me is curious about favorite celebrities, not-so-favorite-celebrities, and most especially about politicians. Part of me is rolling my eyes at some "public shaming/violating privacy is evil no matter who it's done to" stuff I've been seeing scattered around. And then the rest of me is ashamed that I'm curious. Like, dammit, self, don't you have better things to do than care about this shit?

Yeah, I read somewhere the hackers claim there were very few real women on there and most of the profiles of women were actually scam artists. On the one hand, it means a lot of people on there probably didn't have affairs (at least not through that site). On the other, it's all so very embarassing for them that they were duped into thinking they might and spending money on it and posdibly getting scammed for more.
