Intentionally stopping taking birth control so that you can get yourself pregnant and he can't leave you?

See, this happened to someone I know, too.

The difference is that I don't take that one horrible experience and use it to generalize. And, uh, seriously. That has absolutely nothing to do with the plot of Juno.

Then that doesn't make her a "slut" it makes her manipulative and maybe a little scary. If you're calling someone a slut for getting pregnant that young? You still need to apply it to both. :|

This is where I show my horribly conservative side, but...if he did want to leave her, why was he sleeping with her? =D;;; Not that that wasn't incredibly manipulative.

What's conservative about that? It's good manners not to sleep with people when you're trying to get out.

Well, I'm reeeeeally conservative, like "I'm waiting until marriage before I sleep with someone" conservative, and...well, I get crap about it sometimes so I tend to be apologetic about it even when I'm NOT being that conservative. ^^;; (Not really from my friends, it just seems like people automatically assume I'm a prude or Amish or something.)

Threadjumping to say that your body is your business and no one has the right to mock you for your decisions. You're doing what's right for you. As long as you're not lecturing other people and judging them for having sex before marriage, then there's no reason at all to be apologetic for your choice at all.

I didn't wait till I was married to have sex but I did wait for someone with whom I felt comfortable and who genuinely cared for me. It meant that I was a virgin longer than most people around me but I'm glad I waited because it was right for me.

Sorry for the tl;dr, I tend to get a little defensive about things like this.

Yeah, and it's such a pity that there isn't a contraption men can use to prevent pregnancy. Except... shoot, what's that thing called again? 'Condoms'? Yeah, I think that's the word.

Where was his condom? Where was his SENSE to know not to ejaculate in her vagina?

See - when a man ejaculates SEMEN into a woman's vagina, the chance of pregnancy is very high! Sperm can travel to her uterus, where it may meet an egg waiting to be fertilized! And such things do sometimes end in a....
BABY!
