Also: 16. I agree with your sentiment, though not as fiercely as you seem to hold it. I think that foresight is an easy thing to apply to getting pregnant accidentally, not that every unexpected pregnancy is the result of the girl being a "stupid slut."

Regardless of your views on this, I still think you should see Juno. I did; and, despite being someone who thinks that teenage girls who decide to get pregnant and keep their babies are making a bad decision, I loved it. It's amazing.

How are we making a bad decision. I am a teen mother and I fully support my child. I didn't have him at the best time to have a child but nothing in your life will ever be perfect - deal with it.

So you think I should have given him up for adoption instead of taking charge and being responsible?
Please, it makes me so angry when people look down on me for doing the RIGHT THING. You try it and smile at the end of the day. My schedule would put yours to SHAME.

Woah.

First off, I apologize for offending you. I was not intending to attack you personally in any way, merely stating my opinion. I don't know anything about your situation, and I'm sorry I sounded like I did.

I should rephrase: I think that a teenager who gets pregnant on accident and keeps her child is making a bad decision.

I think that if it's not "the best time" in her life to have a kid, then it is perfectly acceptable for her to give the baby up for adoption. If she's going through high school, she might have to put education to the side to take care of her child, and I think a responsible choice would be giving the child to a couple who is fully ready to raise it, not keeping it at the expense of her own life.

Of course there are exceptions. Again, I know nothing about your motives or situation. I'm not looking down on you. I don't even know you. I was only stating my opinion, not attacking all teenage mothers everywhere. Sorry for having made you angry; I assure you, offending you was the least of my intentions.

I did get pregnant on accident... though.

And, the choice of putting your child up for adoption is always there but a lot of young women (like me) can not part with their own flesh and blood. I go to school and work, so I did not give up anything to keep my child. But some other teenagers may have to. In that case, I would hope they opt for adoption since an uneducated mother can not fully support her child. But, I know a lot of girls who are like me and go to school, work and take care of their kids.

I feel like whether or not it was an accident it is my responsibility, so adoption was not a good choice (in my situation). And it may be that way for others.
