I wouldn't think you'd be so young that you don't realise that a movie glamorising/'cutesy-fying' teen pregnancy can never be a good thing.

Well that's fair enough, I'm definitely willing to give the film 'a chance' in that sense. =) My original comment was simply aimed at the OP's description of the movie...which is why I got annoyed with the responce I got. ^_^;

It's about teen pregnancy (among other things) but it's nothing like the OP says it is.

*nods* Well all I got from it was that it was about teen pregnancy...and the rates in the UK (where I live) are very high on that...so I personally don't think it's a good thing to be glamorising.

Of course, I don't know enough about the movie to say for sure, and a hell of a lot depends on the age of the two involved. =)

It definitely doesn't glamorize it so you don't have to worry about that. It's a real issue in today's world, though, so it's understandable that a movie's going to be made about it. I highly recommend giving the movie a chance, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I'll look into it then. =) My 'glamourise' comment can obviously only be based on the cutesy movie poster and the general way teen-flics go....so...yeah.

I won't be making a point of bashing it without knowing more, at any rate.

In all seriousness, I respect someone who is willing to re-examine their previous way of thinking. Given the general way teen movies are presented, I can understand your hesitancy about the movie. It's great that you're willing to find out more before making your final decision.

Thanks a lot. =) I'm glad most people understand that what I said was a 'knee-jerk' reaction, and was only based on a small piece of information, not the whole movie.
