There will inevitably be something where it's arguable whether it's controversial or not, and I would prefer to just talk about shit without getting into a massive pedantic hair-splitting argument about where specifically you draw the line about what is or is not controversial

Sometimes it's stuff fandom people might agree on, but not necessarily RL people, for instance - or the reverse.

So I guess it's a bit subjective, but I still like these threads.
