(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)So there are my points:
Based on the above, do you think this might be one of those things comments that you make that earn your devoted fan club? Do you think if someone was commenting to you like this, you'd consider them an arrogant jerk?
Do you think this might be one of those times where you should maybe say something like "You're entitled to your opinion, I'm sorry I acted like you showing a differing opinion made you less worthy of respect" then move on and try to learn from it?
Is it possible the you might feel an inclination to argue why this is an unreasonable expectation? Do you think that you'll feel an inclination to dismiss this comment? Or to justify why it's totally different when you do this? That you are entitled too talk to other human beings who are of the same worth as you like this? Do you think if you feel this inclination it might have less to do with feeling like you're a right and good person to act like this, and more to do with you loving the attentions of your fanclub so much, you're unwilling to give them the opportunity to see you as a human being that they should leave alone?
Do you think that this might be a bad way to act to people, to human beings with feelings, who may well have meant no harm? And if so, do you really think that people are totally wrong to take against you for it?
