That's not the case at all with any of the writers I've seen in similar situations, if it helps any.

A book that sold poorly or got negative reviews doesn't prevent an author having success with another book. Readers look at the premise of something way before they acknowledge anything else, so don't feel too bad. And meh reviews happen to everyone, even bestsellers.

Haha, it does help actually. And I think deep down I know that, but it's that nagging thought that keeps killing my urge to write, which sucks.
