Re: "Don't teach me not to get raped, teach men not to rape"

nayrt, I don't care if it is only a survey of 73, it's the poison M & M analogy, 33% of these 73 M & M's could kill me? I'll stick to skittles.

This would be an incredibly compelling argument if your encounters of men were limited to those specific 73 men. But it's not.

The point of a small sample size is that it does not provide good evidence for the thing. So we don't really have a good idea whether or not that 33% figure is accurate.

Its accurate for those random 73 men, and there is not compelling counter evidence that say's it won't be true for the next 73.

It gives us almost no information about the next 73 men.

This is a stupid and wrong attitude for you to take, purely on a statistical level.

But they're not really random. They're men of a certain age who are going to college. It's a small, unrepresentative sample.

I'm sorry that you're going to fail statistics if you ever end up having to take it.

omg, omg omg. You actually think the M&M analogy is something that makes sense.

Hey, black people are more likely to commit murder than any other race. That is why I avoid black people. Never know when they are going to snap and murder you.
