I feel like you're purposely not getting this, but no.

It's the difference between identity and performance. The performance part, the part where men are supposed to be more logical and women are supposed to be more nurturing and emotional, is constructed. The identity part, the part where you "feel" like a man or a woman and you "feel" like you're in the right or wrong body, is not.

The best way I have seen it explained is by drawing an analogy to phantom limbs. So, if someone loses their leg, they still feel like it's there. The super simplified reason for this is that their brain is telling them they should have a limb there. Their "body map" says "this isn't empty space, it's your arm/leg!" Same thing with gender identity. Your "body map" says "you should have a vagina" or "you should have a penis," and if you happen to have the opposite, it's "this isn't a vagina, it's a penis!" Which fucks with you.
