Asking author question about a fic - what is the ettiquette?
(Anonymous) 2015-08-24 08:17 am (UTC)(link)It's fantastic, and I'm perfectly content with the way the last chapter ended, if it turns out to be the end of the fic. But it says X/? which makes me think it's supposed to continue, though it hasn't been updated in a long time.
I don't know if it's even possible (other than asking in a comment, maybe?) but I thought of somehow messaging them to ask if they plan on continuing it. I know writers hate to be bugged about updating WIPs and I don't want to bother them but would a one time question along the lines of "Hey, I really loved this fic and noticed it wasn't marked as complete, I was just curious if you planned on adding more to it?" be something that's discouraged?
I know I'm posting at a weird time here so I don't know if anyone will even see this, but I'm curious...
