I think people pick on him because so many of his fans are young women. Generally, society looks down on things if young women make up the majority of their fanbase.

I'm happy that Noel and Julian appreciate their fanbase regardless of its demographics.

This... I considered myself a fan of his because of Boosh, but eventually stopped calling myself one just because I didn't like his solo stuff - Luxury Comedy was the worst - and didn't find him funny on Nevermind the Buzzcocks or the the Great Fat Quizzes. Oh well.

Luxuy Comedy was just irredeemably bad. How it got a second series, I'll never know.

I did like him on the IT Crowd though.

Noel is so cute and sexy, I'll love him forever. I didn't really like the first series of LuxCom, but I did like the second one a lot. Though nothing compares with Boosh!

I remember everyone hating on Noel a lot around 2008-2009, and it bummed me out a lot then, but I think his fans were displeased with his excessive partying at the time, which he doesn't really do anymore. But I think he's always been a sweet person, even then.
