more seriously: I think that I would like most of the characters I have real fictional crushes on if I knew them IRL. I think I would the same traits about them attractive IRL than I do in fiction. So, yes, I would date them. I don't think that I'm romanticizing the traits that I find attractive in them. The qualities that I like about them are the same qualities I like IRL.

In many cases I don't think it would be a long-lasting or a remotely successful relationship. But that's not because of the traits that I'm attracted to, that's because it's easier to overlook other traits in fiction than it is IRL. And also because, you know, it's hard to have long-lasting relationships with space pirates or assassins.
