nayrt Lol what world do you live in that people take problems that men face even half as seriously as they do women's problems?

Misandry is a grave problem in these times.

No it's not. But that doesn't mean people take men's body image issues, for example, even half as serious as women's.

Where I come from, hating yourself because society has told you that your extra flesh is disgusting and unhealthy, is seen as encouragement to change. Most of this hate is directed at and affects women.

So? There are plenty men and boys with eating disorders - they don't suddenly get any healthier just because "women have it worse". You can actually care about two things at the same time, as strange this might sound to you. It's not "I must either care about women OR care about men - if I try both, my brain will melt".

Is that your takeaway from what I said? You started with the premise that men have it a lot worse than women. I gave a counterpoint to that. Doesn't mean that a lot of people have a lot of issues.

* don't have a lot of issues
double negatives aaarh

I never said that men have it a lot worse, I said that the problems men face are taken less seriously than the problems women face. Which says absolutely nothing about who has it worse. Men might have less problems than women as a whole, but what problems they have get taken way less seriously.
