Not OP

That made me think about it, and huh, I agree with you. I can't see them as kids either.

Now if someone wrote a child character as a child, I could, and there are lots of realistic child characters that I do see as children for that reason.

But shota and loli characters are just as unrealistic as children as yaoi ukes are unrealistic as real gay men.
