That was a lot of damned hard work to be taken advantage of. I mean I had to evade my extremely strict Old Country parents and then sneak into clubs and stalk my prey over by the amps stacks and then cut them away from the pack. I don't think I've put quite as much effort into anything since. But thank you deeply for your earnest concern. We'll be sure to give you a gold star at the next Judgmental Parenting meeting.

And people wonder why men treat women the way they do.

No need to wonder why some men don't want women to learn what makes for a good sex partner.

Well see, when I was 15, I very nearly got taken advantage of by a 30 year old man who hung out with us when I was drunk. At the time I didn't think anything of it, but now at 25, I'm horrified by how close I came to being assaulted and how easily it could've happened if I had been more desperate for male attention. And I later found out that he ended up raping my 16 year old friend at some point.

Your good experience doesn't suddenly outweigh the myriad of young girls who get taken advantage of. Granted that works both ways, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

What the fuck is THIS. Someone is defending their own experience as valid and okay for them, that is ALL, and you're telling them, no, BLAMING them, for other people's negative experiences. You're a real arrogant tosser.

Holy overreaction, Batman!

(Anonymous) 2015-08-29 10:29 am (UTC)(link)
Jesus, what is this comment?

(Anonymous) 2015-08-29 10:32 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, scream and project (where did they even say they blamed estefee???) at an anon recalling how they'd nearly been sexually assaulted as a teen. Fuck off.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-29 12:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah I dunno where I was coming from with that. Sorry :C

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. Our situations were different for a host of circumstances I won't go into. Suffice to say I believe there are ways for young people to experiment sexually *with each other*, as I did, without it turning into an assault situation. Caution is always important, of course. But making young women afraid to try if they want to is a bad idea because feminism.

Perhaps you won't agree with me but I'm happy to leave it at that.
