If it wasn't permanently scarring, I might agree. It is the whole lifelong permanent scarring that no one else could undo and that Hermione didn't care enough to come up with a counter for that puts it into villain territory. Holy shit, isn't one of the things that makes Umbridge so evil that she permanently scars her victims?

Yeah, that's the kind of shit Goblins: Life Through Their Eyes uses to show that a villain is truly irredeemable.

The idea was simple. Make sure nobody ever did it, or at least nobody ever did it more then once. That traitorous bitch took the vow, she should have known better.
