The remake of True Grit was better than the movie.

A million times better, but that's an unfair case because it wasn't really a remake. It was an adaptation of the original book, not a remake of the movie. And one of the reasons it's so much better is because it's much close to the original book - in fact it's one of the most faithful adaptations I've ever seen.

Also, it's a great book, you really oughta read it if you liked the movie.
