It's more that from the comments, the ratio about the ex relationship is less often. If at all.

Like, maybe post in the "how's your day" threads? Comment on a fandom you don't know with "nice picture" or give one of the anons with a bad day a hug or word of wisdom or something.

So that the ratio of comments become less "oh it's just chard in a permanent cynical snit" and more of a "oh chard's talking about something bad that happened".

Otherwise every cranky comment is probably going to be attributed to what we know that might be making you cranky. If that makes sense.

So let me get this straight. To make sure I don't look too hung up on this, I should deliberately make a bunch of cover posts in threads I never normally touch to make absolutely sure nobody thinks I'm thinking about it, thereby forcing myself to think about it more than I usually do

Well tbh I think some people would like to know how your day is going or your thoughts outside of an ex-relationship. I'm using those as an example since I have no idea of your interests so obviously can't suggest general threads you like. You post pictures sometimes.

You keep saying you have a life but we can't see that reflected in your comments. Either change that or just accept random people are going to see you from your comments

Judging from the comments here I don't think anyone actually cares about how my day is going except as a potential target. Stream folks definitely care, but it looks like I won't have them anymore. Maybe some of them are the anons.

I'm sorry too. That came off more harshly than I intended, too.

I understand your cynicism but like three or four people have literally said they do care how your day is going and tried to be encouraging or give advice however unasked for, and I don't think they'd lie for the hell of it. You could have people to talk to like you seemed to want but all the focus in these threads are on the people being dicks. This is where cynicism starts backfiring, idk.
