'A safer environment'? Why in God's name do they think the children don't want to see porn? That's so embarassingly puritanical coming from adults in fandom, who probably spent hours as a kid giggling at 'lemon' fanfics on ff.net or lj. I know I did. Shit, I think I've still got poor resolution DBZ porn pics from geocities on my computer from 2002.

You have to be 13 to use tumblr, right? Pretty much every 13-year-old browsing fandom sites (or anyone willing to lie about their age) wants to see porn. Much more than your average adult, I imagine. Have these people completely forgotten what it was like to be that age?

I mean, by all means tag it, then they'll be able to find it faster.

Ahaha ok man, sure. Just keep believing that nobody is even slightly interested or curious about anything sexual until they hit adulthood. Do you also believe in abstinence-only sex education?

Are you being deliberately obtuse? The point is to minimize the number of people (especially underage people) who will stumble upon porn accidentally. If you tag carefully, kids who haven't yet hit the age where they're curious about that stuff won't be blindsided and get freaked out by anything they're not ready to be confronted with. I would think it was all pretty self-explanatory, anon.
