I think the rumors never stopped because people loved the game too damn much! I don't know anybody who played it all the way through who doesn't get this nostalgic melty face when you mention it.

I wish I could explain my LOVE for this game, really I do, but LSFJSFLJSFLSF I can't! It's been so long I can't even remember where or how the rumours started but I could have sworn it wasn't the fans who did it. Didn't Overworks actually say it was being considered?
And you're right. I don't think I have ever met someone who has sincerely played this game and NOT liked it. D:

I've played it many times, and I'm not exactly sure what it is... just... the world! The characters! The colors! The attention to detail! God, the insane attention to detail, the way you could click almost all the background objects used to awe me.

It was so damn charming. Then the fight system may have been standard but it had a nice little variety to it. And the ship battles = fucking win.
