Funnily enough, I think he'd actually make a good Morpheus, unlike most of the times when he gets fan cast into stuff.

Or at least he would make a good Morpheus if he wasn't already Benedict Cumberbatch getting cast in all the Benedict Cumberbatch things

Just look at what he did to Khan.

Well, two points here.

One, Khan and Dream are completely different roles in terms of what they require from an actor, and I think Dream would be much more in Cumberbatch's house.

Two, Khan was in a generally horribly written and directed movie. So, you know, I kind of cut the guy at least some slack for that one. And hopefully a Sandman project would not be so poorly executed all around.

They're both characters that are difficult to pull off, though. I'm simply not convinced that Cumberbatch has what it takes, going off what I've seen of his acting.
