There's a scene in Justice League Unlimited where the villain ends up a drooling vegetable being taken care of by some creepy old lady. I don't remember the context or the episode, but it was terrifying as fuck.

"Kid Stuff." I remember that episode. He removes the spell that keeps him a child forever, so then all his centuries of life catch up with him. He thought he could escape from his mother's control, but now he's absolutely dependent on her forever.

For my money, the most fucked-up episode was when the villain who can control dreams enters the dreams of his ex-girlfriend. He rips off his own face and says he's going to "perform some surgery." The next thing we hear about her is that she died in her sleep.

UGH Doctor Destiny is always the most terrifying JLA villain in any canon. No matter how many times I read it, the 24 Hours chapter in Sandman makes my skin crawl.
