Self-diagnosis is unreliable. But as long as you keep the uncertainty in mind - and especially as long as you don't use it as an excuse to be a huge dickhead to people - I don't think it's a big deal. There's nothing wrong with saying "There's a high chance that I have some form of depressive disorder". The problem is more with people saying I HAVE THIS EXACT THING AND ALSO THAT MEANS YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT WHEN I AM AWFUL.
