Nails

A guy said that it the first thing people notice. He workes in the beauty industry so might be biased. Do you pay attention to others nails?

At a guess, I'd say I've noticed someone's else fingernails about nine or ten times in my entire lifetime. Cut that in half if you don't count the times the hands were pushed at me to notice on purpose.

If it's relevant, I'm a guy and I don't work in the beauty industry.

Nails? Not particularly. Someone's hands in general? Sometimes.

Not at all. I have no clue what anyone's nails look like, unless they're very decorated to stand out. My dad has a big split right down the middle of one thumbnail, he says it's been that way his whole life, and I never noticed until I was in my teens.

^ NA

Either very decorated to stand out or filthy and disgusting. As long as it's neither extreme.

not unless they're super manicured and painted, or super grimy and disguting

As long as they're clean and reasonably tidy, no. I think people are a little too obsessed with the idea that everyone needs manis and pedis. That's just dumb.

I always notice nails, because I am a former nail tech and love the art.

he's biased

people notice my nails usually because they're about a quarter of an inch long and natural. For some odd reason this boggles their minds. *shrug* But it isn't the first thing they notice! Usually it's after two or three meetings.

I notice hands and nails immediately, but really only at work. I work at a post office behind a fortress-style set up, so customers have to push their money and paperwork or whatever under a small slot, so I take a lot of notice of their hands.
