Well no, but anon is so angry that I can't take them seriously. Like, im now happy because it's more accessible for me and they're inconvencied but it was somehow ok in the reverse when they're happy and im inconvencied?

Make sense?

See. I'm that anon. It isn't inconvenience for me. It's literally impossible for me to use Tumblr in its current state because the visuals alone give me a migraine. Add onto that the fact I can't even follow conversations as the site is currently laid out.

Convenience isn't accessibility. If all that the old system was for you was inconvenient, then sorry, but your inconvenience doesn't trump the fact that I can't use the site at all, while you could before.

Boo hoo. You can't use tumblr now, and it's a tragedy. I'm sure the work-around will be out in like an hour anyway.

Well that sucks anon but literally the only difference between my former inconvenience and your current inconvenience is that you're getting a headache or migraine. Which may or may not be the design or may be some other reason. Which isn't a good reason to bite my head off for making a comment that I am enjoying the new format.

Maybe try adjusting your screen levels or getting xkit but I am going to continue to be pleased that I find it more accessible.

You are an arse.

"It's just a headache!!!! lololol"

It's not my screen. The same thing happened when LJ made the adjustments that drove everyone away.

It's not my screen levels, it's not anything on my end because literally Tumblr was fine until it updated. That tells me it's something about the layout.

Xkit does not have a fix, and they're pretty sure they can't fix the layout back to how it was. You enjoying something because you were slightly inconvenienced before is not accessibility, and trying to claim that word when it's not related to disability or illness is actually ableist as hell, too.

Oh my God, shut the fuck up. It's a website, not a bus station or a sidewalk ramp--if it's not accessible to everyone, tough shit. They aren't obligated to make it so, and you could obviously do with a little less internet time anyway. Take a step back, overly angry anon.

DA - Actually, while Tumblr's management are not obliged to make their site accessible, that's not because it's a website. It's because it's a private business that provides a free platform. Now, if such dreadful and inaccessible design was used on a government site, for example, then a person whose disability made that design harmful to them (such as by inducing migraines) or generally hard to use (not screenreader friendly, fixed text size, etc.) could make a complaint to the disability ombudsman of their state or territory [under the Ombudsman Act of 1974, and subsequent amendments].

That's the second time you've tried to put a straw man on me so I'm going to ignore you now. Hope your headache gets better soon, angry!anon

no offense anon, but there's really no need for you to be taking this so personally. it's just an opinion in public thread. you can't expect people to know who you are or be responsible for your troubles.

Jesus, I'd heard about the entitlement problem on Tumblr, but that's worse than I'd thought. What is this "trumping" nonsense? If you don't like how a website changed, stop using it. It has no obligation to cow to your needs.
