That's not really the point. Sure, some characters COULD be white, in the sense that there's nothing about them that really makes them Definitely Not White, but WHY make them white? What purpose does it serve? It's hardly as if there's a dearth of white characters in fandom or fanart. And it's not like you can't make a character's race vague either -- a blond blue eyed guy who still has asian-looking features is totally a thing that can happen in fanart.
