I think it's fine assuming you're self-aware and you acknowledge that your diagnosis will probably not be as accurate or useful as going to a doctor. There's also a danger of latching onto everything that sounds like it vaguely fits you.

In my case, I self-diagnosed myself with depression and a personality disorder when I knew I had serious problems but had no way of getting treatment for them. Ultimately I was able to afford treatment years later, and the doctor confirmed what I'd already figured out for myself. But self-diagnosis allowed me to find resources and information for managing my illness when I couldn't afford actual treatment.
