Re: Pads or tampons?

(Anonymous) 2015-09-03 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Pads. Tampons don't hurt, but I can always FEEL them up them up there the whole time they're in and it's uncomfortable. (I quite like having, *ahem* other things in my vagina, but the texture of a tampon is unpleasant.) Trying smaller ones or shoving them ever further up there doesn't seem to help.

I like cups in theory, but I work outdoors a lot and may have to go 10 hours without a bathroom (I pee in the woods like a champ) and cups don't sound like a compatable strategy. I want to try one for days when I'm in the office or at home, though.

Pads are honestly the cleanest option in my experience when you don't have access to a toilet and sink. Everything is in the pad and you just roll it up in the wrapper of the next one and put it in a zippered bag. Nothing has to get pulled out, nothing needs to be emptied, nothing drips, your fingers don't get bloody. The downside is they soak up water if it rains hard and your pants get wet.
