irl people are surprised to find out I like wrestling and it's fucking annoying, tbh, in that "oh but you're a girl! a girl who i consider to be fairly intelligent!" way. it's such a common reaction and I know exactly what they're thinking BECAUSE I USED TO THINK THE SAME WAY. (I'm so sorry.)

i fucking hate Will Ferrell and everyone is so surprised because apparently he's god's gift to comedy or some shit. (Same goes for a lot of comedies I hate like The Hangover and Zombieland.)

Or, within my actual fandoms, I guess:

New fandom friends are surprised that I legit love shitfics. Like, the more terrible and cracky, the better.

Can't think of anything for hate... I write pwp but I'm not actually a fan of it for the most part, lol.

I know exactly what you mean. My friends were really surprised when I told them I liked wrestling (I'm also a woman), but for some reason when I said "My mum watches it every week" they seemed not to mind as much? I guess they figured I only watched it because she did or something, but I was cheering right alongside her and I went to the shows with her too! :D
