1. If you don't have an air pressure gauge in your car already, get one. They're cheap as anything at the hardware store and you use them just by sticking them in the little spigot where you put air in and they will pop out to tell you the tire pressure. There are usually stickers in the door well of your car that will tell you the optimum pressure your tires should be at for safe driving.

Otherwise you can go to a place that specializes in tires and they will tell you if they need to be rotated or if your spare needs to be changed out.

5. I personally get anxious while driving in poor conditions and I found that listening to something new kept me too engaged and distracted to get anxious, whereas having to drive in silence once the .mp3 was finished (through the mountains at night near Yellowstone) was nerve wracking. So yeah, pick something that will keep you interested and not freaking out/thinking too hard about the road.

1. Ooh, yeah, I'll grab one of those! Though I think I'll still get my tires checked, just to be safe. |D

5. I know exactly the things. Sweet. :)

Thank you!

Np! Driving across the USA was both fun and boring in equal measures, but there were some beautiful sights along the way.

I put in 16 hour days, but not everyone has that kind of driving stamina, so I suggest you just take it at a pace that feels comfortable for you and especially never feel pressured to speed up if people behind you are going faster. That's what the passing lane is for.

I'm hoping! I recently was amazed just by how lovely it was to get out of my normal areas of Oregon!

I'll keep that in mind, thank you! :)
