I always like this being done on the stage, where this is already kind of common. One of my favorites that I see done every now and then is female Hamlet, giving her relationship with Ophelia, slutshaming of her mother, and the other character's dismissals of her her grief early in the play new twists.

I've never seen that but I could dig it! I've never seen any of the histories genderswapped, presumably just cause they are histories. But considering how loosely historical most of them are why not tbh... A female Richard III would barely be more unhistorical than all other depictions of Shakespeare's Richard III.
