I wouldn't know, I don't care for that equivalent, my issue with it is more anime related. Also my thing is, why not just accept things the way they are when it comes the characters and plots in media and if you don't like it, make your own thing, or at least shut up about your (in general) headcanon, I don't care about it and I don't wanna see it (would be nice if people tagged that shit).
